KERRI NAVARRO, Producer

Kerri Navarro, is a Lone Star Emmy Award-winning producer based in Dallas, Texas.  With over 15 years of experience, Kerri and her team of associates have produced and directed for television, radio, long and short format films and corporate videos.  Kerri’s passion is working side-by-side with her clients to develop and shape their creative vision.  Clients also value her organizational and logistical strength, as well as her unwavering positive attitude in the face of production challenges.  Kerri has been freelancing for the past three years as a production manager for film & television.
She is the past President of the Dallas Producers Association and a past Vice President of Women in Film Dallas.

 

REBECCA CASE, Producer

Rebecca Case is an experienced producer and production operations manager with a strong background in agency and corporate content production. With a background running a video production and creative services agency, as well as managing operations within larger organizations, her broad experience in project management, team leadership, and production has allowed her to effectively lead production crews and cross-functional teams, manage collaborative client relationships, and deliver high-profile projects on time and on budget. Rebecca is also the current Vice President of the Dallas Producers Association and the assistant operations director for the Oak Cliff Film Festival.

FREDRICK WOLCOTT, Filmmaker

Fredrick Wolcott is the founder and president of Highpath Films. The company specializes in developing and transitioning original concepts into viable projects. Highpath works with a unique clientele of CEO’s, corporate executives, public speakers, authors, athletes, artists, musicians, and creatives to craft unique perspective, enhance their vision, and emotionally charge their audience.
Owner and president, Fredrick Wolcott offers a specialized skill that comes from his experience and instinct, understanding of dramatic narrative, and content marketing gleaned in the motion picture industry as a Development Executive, Producer, Writer, and Director in Hollywood CA for over thirty years. The film division of Highpath Films currently has multiple movie projects in development and preparation for production.

 

M. LEGEND BROWN, Director

M. Legend Brown is a Texas native who is a self-taught, award winning writer, producer and director known for a number of independent films, including Hiding in Plain Sight, A Man Called Jon and Steps of Faith and A Heart That Forgives. His unique eye for film and storytelling has led to several film awards in the Barebones International Film & Music Festival and the Trail Dance Film Festival.

FILM 101: FUNDING, PRODUCING, DIRECTING AND CASTING

TRICIA WOODGETT, Producer

TRICIA WOODGETT began writing, directing and producing independent films more than 10 years ago. Through her film production company, TigerEye Films, her primary focus has been independent films based on real-life events, comedies and social awareness art-house productions.

Tricia’s body of work includes award-winning social awareness films, Circles, Nothing At All and Things You Should Know About Me. Her released films include Carter High (NetFlix & cable television US), starring Charles S. Dutton, Vivica A. Fox, Pooch Hall and David Banner; Lady Luck (on Amazon Prime) starring Trevante Rhodes, Irma P. Hall and Don Battee; and civil rights comedy Jerico, starring JoMarie Patton, George Wallace, Irma P. Hall and Richard Jackson (on Amazon Prime and DVD). Tricia is currently in development with the following projects: 1921, feature film based on the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre; Mahalia Jackson biopic feature film; animation, The Legend of Caprina; and limited series, White Like Her, based on the novel, White Like Her by Gail Lukasik.

Tricia graduated from Dallas Baptist University with her MBA in Finance with a minor in Project Management.

 

CHAD GUNDERSON, Producer

Chad Gundersen has been an independent producer for over 20 years.  In 2006 he formed Gundersen Entertainment and produced such films as Like Dandelion Dust, The Trialand Hoovey.  In 2015, along with Chris Juen, Chad started Out of Order Studios to produce animated features films, live action feature films and TV shows. They are currently in production on the studio’s animated feature and in development on numerous animated feature films, live action films and TV shows.

 

CRIS JUEN, Producer

For the last 20 years Chris Juen has been involved in many studio tent pole films for both Visual Effects and Animation while working at Sony Pictures.  He produced Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 1 and 2, Surf’s Upand Arthur Christmas.  Chris started Out of Order Studios with Chad Gundersen in 2015. They are currently in production on the studio’s animated feature and in development on numerous animated feature films, live action films and TV shows.

DENNIS O’NIELL, Writer/Director

Dennis O’Neill is an American actor, producer, director, writer, producing his latest project, Bail Out, made for TV, seen at www.bailouttv.com. In his junior year in high school, the asst. principal told him that he would never make it in life, or to his senior year. He made it to his senior year, then quit school a week later. After many dead-end jobs, his life changed. He began training, and working for the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, as a ballroom dance instructor. Going back to school, he received his GED, and Associates degree in Fine Arts. He continued his education at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), taking two classes per year for the next fifteen years. He finally received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. A singer/songwriter, author of two published books on acting, “Getting Your Act Together” and, “Acting is Believing” as well. His third book is a daily, inspirational book, called, “Living…In the Moment” with a fourth book on the way, “A Book of Quotes”. He is the CEO and founder of Bail Out TV LLC and Dennis O’Neill Productions, LLC. Aside from teaching his weekly acting, and ballroom dance classes, with his “walls without limits” approach, he has been very effective in sharing his life experiences with passion for his craft, he is turning out winners of all ages all over the USA, and Europe gaining worldwide recognition for his work and TV/Web series, Bail Out.

CLIFTON McCURRY, Writer/Director

Clifton McCurry is a Writer, Director and Producer born on February 21, 1970 in Jefferson Texas
Clifton studied the art of filming at the Actor’s Place in Dallas Texas. He wrote, directed and produced his first film Circle of Spiders in 2008 which gained international attention and winner of the 6th Annual Dallas Black Film Festival.
In 2010, he followed up with the street savvy film The Case, and in 2017 with Lady Luck and earned an International distribution deal. His current film for 2019 the sequel Lady Luck Too is in post-production.
